Cookie Policy
The short version: this website does not set cookies. It keeps just one thing in your browser — how far down the page you were, so that a refresh leaves you in the same place — and that is deleted as soon as you close the tab.
1. What cookies are — and what sessionStorage is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser that is sent back to the server with every request. That is why it is the tool of tracking: it travels.
sessionStorage is also storage in your browser, but it is not sent anywhere on its own, and it is deleted as soon as you close the tab.
The distinction matters for what requires consent, which is why we point it out rather than lumping everything together.
2. What we store
| Key | Type | What it holds | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| kourt:y | sessionStorage | A single number: how far you had scrolled the page. It is used only when you refresh or press “back”, so you don't land at the top again. | Until you close the tab |
Your language choice is not stored: Greek and English are separate pages, each with its own address.
We do not use:
- tracking or advertising cookies,
- Facebook, Google Ads or similar pixels,
- analytics tools,
- device fingerprinting.
The video and images are served from our own server, not from YouTube or a third-party CDN. There are two external services, both from Google: the Commissioner typeface from Google Fonts, and the map in the app example from Google Maps, which loads only when you reach that part of the page. With both, your browser sends Google its IP address, as with any file request. Neither sets cookies.
3. Why you don't see a consent banner
The consent requirement — Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, as transposed into Greek law — applies to storing information that is not strictly necessary to provide the service the user asked for.
The key in the table is necessary for what you are doing: staying in the same place after a refresh. There is nothing else. So there is nothing to consent to, and a banner would be noise asking permission for something we don't do.
This is not a legal trick; it is simply what happens when you don't add tracking.
4. What would change if we add analytics
We plan to measure how the page is used, so we know which parts aren't working. When that happens:
- We will update this table before anything is switched on.
- If the tool sets no cookies and keeps no identifiers — such as cookieless analytics — nothing changes regarding consent.
- If we use a tool that sets cookies, such as Google Analytics, a banner will appear with a real choice, where refusing is as easy as accepting, and nothing will load before you choose.
We write this here so you can hold us to it.
5. How to delete it
You don't need to do anything: it deletes itself as soon as you close the tab.
If you want to delete it sooner, from your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Deleting it breaks nothing: the next refresh will simply take you to the top of the page.
6. In the mobile app
The app is not a browser and does not use cookies. It stores locally on your device your session details, so you don't have to sign in every time, your preferences, and the push notification identifier.
Anything stored there is deleted when you sign out or uninstall. Notifications are controlled from your phone's settings.
7. Changes and contact
If anything changes, this page and the date at the top are updated. Questions: hello@dinami.ai
