Terms of Use
By creating an account or using Kourt, you agree to the terms below. They are written in plain language on purpose: if there is anything you do not understand, write to us before you accept.
1. Definitions
- Kourt or we: Kourt, based in Athens.
- Platform: the iOS and Android app, the kourt.gr website and the partners' Desks.
- Player: a natural person with an account who is looking for people to play with, a court, a lesson or equipment.
- Partner: a court, coach or shop that offers time slots, lessons or products through the Platform.
- Booking: the reservation of a specific time slot at a specific venue or lesson.
- Level: a number from 1 to 7, per sport, that describes your playing standard.
- Reliability: a score from 0 to 100 that describes how consistently you show up.
2. What Kourt is — and what it is not
Kourt is an intermediation platform. It connects players with each other and with partners, organises the booking and splits the bill.
Kourt is not a provider of sports facilities, is not a coach and is not a shop. It does not own, operate or maintain courts. The contract for the use of the court, the provision of the lesson or the sale of a product is concluded between you and the partner. We provide the tool and collect a commission on the transaction.
This has a practical consequence: the partner is responsible for the condition of the court, the safety of the venue, the quality of the lesson and the pricing. We are responsible for the operation of the Platform.
3. Account and age
You need an account. You confirm that you are 15 years of age or older and that the information you provide is true. One account per person; you may not lend your account to anyone else.
You are responsible for everything done through your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at hello@dinami.ai.
The Level you declare initially must be a good-faith estimate. Deliberately declaring the wrong level in order to join games that do not match you spoils the experience for everyone and constitutes grounds for suspension.
4. What it costs
- For players: signing up and using the Platform is free. There is no subscription, fixed fee or charge for having a profile. You pay your share of the court or the lesson.
- For partners: a 10% commission on the booking or sale brought in by the Platform. No subscription, no setup cost, no tiered pricing. The same rate also applies to tournaments.
The commission is calculated on the completed transaction. No booking, no commission. Partners' prices include VAT where applicable, and are set by the partner — not by us.
5. Availability and bookings
The rule is built into the system: a time slot is shown as instantly bookable only when it can be honoured. Where the connection with the court is partial, the slot is explicitly marked as “on request” and the partner responds.
The partner chooses the level of connection — listing only, on request, or instant booking — and can change it at any time.
When you book a slot, it is held in your name for the period shown on screen, until your fellow players' payments are completed. If they are not completed, the booking is released and any amounts charged are refunded.
In rare cases a partner may fail to honour a slot despite confirmation. In that case we refund your share in full and your Reliability is not affected.
6. Payments
Payments are made by card, in the app, via Stripe. Each person pays their own share with their own card — nobody pays for everyone and nobody has to chase change.
The money goes directly to the partner's account via Stripe. Kourt does not hold third-party funds, does not act as a payment service provider and does not store card details. We retain the commission on the transaction and nothing else.
Stripe's own terms also apply to the use of Stripe. If a charge fails, the booking is not completed.
7. Cancellations and refunds
The cancellation scale is shown on the booking, before you pay. It is not decided case by case:
- Cancellation well in advance of the slot: the amount is refunded.
- Cancellation 24–48 hours before: the amount is returned as credit to your wallet and is applied automatically to your next booking.
- Closer to the time: the partner decides, according to their own policy as shown on the booking.
- Cancellation by the court, or unsuitability due to weather: you lose nothing.
Right of withdrawal: for leisure services provided on a specific date or within a specific period, consumer legislation (Article 3ib of Law 2251/1994, as in force) does not provide a 14-day right of withdrawal. This does not affect your rights where the service is not provided or is provided defectively.
8. Level and Reliability
Your Level starts from your own estimate and is adjusted based on results confirmed by both sides. It remains provisional until five rated matches have been completed in the sport concerned. It is kept separately for each sport.
Reliability starts at 75/100. It rises gradually as you show up. Cancelling in good time does not affect it. Failing to show up without notice costs 25 points. Below 60, your participation becomes a “request” that the organiser approves.
These figures are calculated automatically. If you believe a record is wrong, a human will review it — see your rights in the Privacy Policy, section 10.
9. Acceptable use
You may not:
- provide false information or impersonate someone else,
- harass, threaten or insult other users, inside or outside the app,
- use the Platform to advertise a competing service or to recruit users elsewhere,
- make bulk bookings for resale,
- report false results or false no-shows,
- attempt scraping, reverse engineering, interference with our systems or penetration testing without written permission,
- circumvent technical measures or rate limits.
Safety on the court is your own responsibility. You play of your own free will and accept the usual risks of sporting activity.
10. Content you upload
The content you upload — profile photo, text, messages, reviews — remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the Platform, to the extent needed for the service to operate.
You warrant that you have the right to upload it. We remove content that is unlawful, offensive or infringes the rights of third parties. Reviews must relate to a genuine experience.
10.1 Zero tolerance, reports and blocking
Kourt has no tolerance for objectionable or abusive content, or for users who behave abusively. In particular, the following are not allowed: insults and slurs, harassment and threats, racist, sexist or other content that targets groups of people, sexual or violent content, scams and spam.
Reporting. You can report a player, a message or a review from the app: long-press the message, tap “Report player” on their profile, or “Report” under the review. Reports are anonymous: the reported player does not learn who sent them.
What happens next. Every report reaches the Kourt team. When three different players report the same content, it is hidden at once until it is reviewed. We review reports within 24 hours. If we find a breach, we remove the content and, depending on how serious it is, warn or suspend the account of the user who posted it (see §15). Whoever reported it is told that it was reviewed.
Blocking. You can block any player from their profile. Blocking stops private messages, removes the friendship, and hides their messages and reviews from you — and yours from them.
Word filter. Messages, reviews and profiles that contain certain offensive words are not published.
11. Additional terms for partners
If you use Desk as a court, coach or shop, the following also apply:
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the availability, prices and opening hours you publish.
- You honour the bookings you confirm. Repeatedly failing to honour bookings is grounds for termination.
- You are responsible for your operating licences, the safety of your venue and your insurance cover.
- You are responsible for your tax obligations and for issuing receipts or invoices to the customer.
- You are an independent data controller for the customer data you receive through the Platform, and you use it only to service the booking.
- You maintain a Stripe account in your own name; your revenue is paid into it.
12. Intellectual property
The Platform, the software, the trademarks, the name “Kourt”, the logo and the design belong to us and are protected. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use it for personal purposes — nothing more. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
The Platform is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, the absence of errors, or that you will find people to play with or a free court for every time you want.
We do not guarantee the conduct of other users or the quality of partners' services. Level and Reliability are indicators, not guarantees.
These exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law and do not limit the rights granted to you by consumer protection legislation.
14. Limitation of liability
We are not liable for:
- personal injury or damage occurring during sporting activity or at the partner's premises,
- acts or omissions of other users and partners,
- indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits or loss of data,
- interruptions caused by third-party providers.
Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount of commission we collected on the transaction concerned.
These limitations do not apply in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, personal injury or death caused by our fault, or where the law does not permit limitation.
15. Suspension and deletion
You can delete your account at any time, from the settings, with one click. Pending bookings must first be completed or cancelled.
We may suspend or delete an account where there is a breach of these terms, suspected fraud, or a legal obligation. In non-urgent cases we warn you first and give you the opportunity to put things right.
16. Changes
These terms may change. For material changes we give notice at least 30 days in advance, by email or in the app. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing law and disputes
Greek law applies. The courts of Athens have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you retain the right to bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence, as provided for by EU law.
Before going to court, we would rather talk: hello@dinami.ai. You also have access to alternative dispute resolution through the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (synigoroskatanaloti.gr).
If any term is held to be invalid, the remaining terms remain in force.
